| The Creation Story |
| |
Long ago, God made our world |
and everything in it. He filled it |
and all types of animals. |
God planted a beautiful garden |
called the |
Garden of Eden. |
In it He put the very first people that He made,
| Adam |
and |
Eve. |
God told them to take care |
| of the garden |
and animals |
He made. |
You know, God loves us so much |
that He took time and |
made something special for our world |
each day of the week. |
Day 1 God made the heavens |
& the earth, |
day, and night. |
Day 2 God made the sky, |
oceans, |
and rivers. |
Day 3 God made dry ground, |
plants, |
and trees. |
Day 4 God made the sun, |
moon, |
and stars. |
Day 5 God made the fish |
and the birds. |
Day 6 God created animals |
and people in His image. |
He called the people Adam |
and Eve. |
Day 7 God rested from His creation work and blessed the seventh
day, calling it the Holy Sabbath. |
When God finished creating the world he told Adam and Eve to
care for their special new home called the Garden of Eden. The
garden was a beautiful place to live. There were fruit trees, colorful
flowers, vegetables, and plants. God gave Adam and Eve
everything they needed to live happily in the garden.
