We invite all of our teachers to be a member of this exceptional group of educators.  We encourage all to be God-centered educators showing evidence of a personal relationship with God, sharing his/her faith and extend discipleship to students, parents, administration, colleagues, constituent members and others in the community. As Jesus had a gentle loving demeanor, Adventist educators are to exemplify the same because they are his representatives in the classroom.

The habits and principles of a teacher should be considered of even greater importance than his literary qualifications.  If he is a sincere Christian he will feel the necessity of having an equal interest in the physical, mental, moral and spiritual education of his scholars.  In order to exert the right influence, he should have perfect control over himself, and his own heart should be richly imbued with love for his pupils, which will be seen in his looks, words and acts. New Math Curriculum 1-6

Go Math is the new Math program for grades 1-6.  It combines fresh teaching approaches with digital components that offer everything you need  to engage, teach and assess your students.  This Kindergarten through sixth grade Math program has been developed around the National Common Core Standards and is matched to 21st  century learning skills.  These 21st century skills include Information and Communication skills, Higher-Order Thinking, Problem Solving, Independent Learning and Real-World Connection.   Using a write in student text book, your students will learn with understanding as they use models, manipulatives, language and symbols to build mathemat-ical ideas that make sense to them.  As you review the content of this program, be sure to notice the infusion of these skills and how they impact student learning.

Big Ideas Math is the program for grades 6-8.  Big Ideas Math® is a research based program developed around and written for a Focal Points Curriculum. It focuses on student learning through the incorporation of a Balanced Program of Discovery and Direct Instruction. Designed around the "Big Ideas" of mathematics as outlined by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), the program achieves the outcome of learning by a focus on making learning more effective and efficient.

Pathways Vocabulary and Spelling Words

Now available is an exciting way for your students to learn their vocabulary words.  This site contains the vocabulary words for the new Pathways series.  You can just click on the image which will take you directly to SPELLINGCITY.COM.  Once you get there, you will see tabs that says School, List and Teacher.  You can either click on List for that specific theme or you can click on the Teacher link that says Pathways Theme 1 which will give you all the Theme 1 options for each grade.  To find other themes just scroll down a bit further for more options.  Hope this is helpful as you continue to implement Pathways!
