How Do We Measure Success?

We measure success in a variety of ways.

Evidence
When our students sense their value as children of God, inspiring them to treat others with respect and desiring to enter a joyful life of service, we call that success. In Adventist EDGE schools the curriculum is infused with Christian values and students receive daily encouragement in their personal walk with Jesus. That is success.pray

Results
We measure success when assessment demonstrates improvement in student achievement and standardized tests show consistent improvement. Written and performance-based formative and summative assessments also reveal when students are achieving learning goals. In Adventist EDGE schools, students are excited and successful as they achieve life long learning skills.

Local Partnerships
Churches and school boards working together with the principals to promote Christian education will result in growth and exposure of the school there-by increasing enrollment and creating a waiting list. This is evidence of success.

Unity
The Adventist EDGE schools will recognize that individuals come from diverse backgrounds, will demonstrate a respect for differentiation, and will teach that acceptance leads to unity through the love of Jesus. This is true success.

Environment
Success occurs when educators provide an atmosphere that is positive, safe and nurturing and allows for a frequent exchange of ideas with their students as well as between students. The environment will be warm, loving and promote free expression of spiritual values.
